Writing as Linda Morgan, I began my writing journey in November, 2015 when I did my first NaNoWrMo. Having always wanted to be an author, at age ten I took out my mother's manual typewriter tucked in a blank piece of paper and typed "Chapter 1." That's where it ended until 2015. With an idea niggling in my brain, I set off to the local public library every evening to put words on the page. What I learned was that while I was had been teaching reading and writing for years to elementary and high school students, I didn't know much about the being a writer. After NaNoWrMo, I joined RWA and my local chapter and began to learn everything I could about bringing my story to life. In July 2016 I attended the Yale Writer's Workshop, where romance queen, Julia Quinn, was our instructor. I learned so much.
Unfortunately, after that life got in the way—family illnesses and deaths, kids going off to college, etc. So the work sat. But in 2019 I retired from teaching after 30+ years. Now, I have the time to devote to my dream of becoming a published author. My current work-in-progress is a seasoned romance featuring a sassy heroine and a hunky hero. When I'm not writing with Karen and Tana, I love to read, travel, cook, garden, and hike. I have two adult daughters and two furry babies named James and Winifred. I live with my husband in central Ohio.
